New for 2008 Camp:

--Field Trip to the new Ifshin Violin Studio in El Cerrito – Children will see how violins are made, and hear a short performance of a violin ensemble.  This wonderful studio has recently moved from its longtime Berkeley location to El Cerrito.  Their love of music is evident in this great tour they give to music groups.  We will take public transportation which is also a fun event for children of this age.

--Musical Performance will be based on attending children’s interest.  It can be a small, fun
performance or a larger production with scenery, costumes etc.  The decision will be a child-centered group consensus model. (Musical performance is for Session I only.)

Other activities may include:  Simple piano lessons, instrumental demonstration and performances by local children who play the piano, violin, and other instruments.
